Willow Glen Homes
have found their way into the hearts of many home buyers. Because of
this, Willow Glen Real Estate has grown in value faster then most other
areas in San Jose. Homes in Willow Glen tend to have charm and
character; often these Willow Glen Homes are found featured in design
magazines across the country. The Charm of homes in Willow Glen comes
from the era of the early 1900's when they were mostly built. Many Willow Glen neighborhoods
were built in the 1920 and 1930s long before tract housing came into
being, resulting in beautiful custom designed homes built with love and
care from real artisans who crafted these homes at a time when pride of
workmanship meant something.
Yes, Willow Glen has been around for awhile. The
first school, Willow Glen Elementary was founded in 1863 though it was
originally located at the corner of Lincoln an Malone Rd. Of course, at
the time, Lincoln Ave was named El Abra and was only renamed Lincoln Ave
after President Lincoln was assassinated. Lincoln Ave today serves as
the main downtown area for Willow Glen and at one time it had it’s own
trolley that ran down the middle of the street. A little know fact is
that Willow Glen once was an unincorporated area and became a city 1927
to prevent Southern Pacific Railway from routing a new line down the
middle of Lincoln Ave. 9 years latter, Willow Glen voted to become a
part of San Jose, mostly because they didn’t have the funds to put in a
sewer system that was badly needed at the time.
If you are looking for Willow Glen Real Estate, having an expert real estate agent working
in you best interests is very important. Many home buyers have found the
internet to be a great tool for allowing them to search for homes
themselves and it is, but when it comes to knowing the neighborhoods,
being able to spot problems and negotiating the best possible outcome
for you with complete understanding of your needs and current market
conditions, an experienced Realtor is not only important, they are
critical in that they can protect you and save you money.
I consider my self an expert in working with
clients looking to buy or sell homes in Willow Glen. Because real
estate here is so different than in any other area of the South Bay, you
really need to consider using an expert.
